What we're building · Eight sectors, one rail

Finance in India was built in silos. MitraaPay is built as one system.

A salaried borrower, a kirana owner, a farmer and a delivery rider need different products — but the same underwriting intelligence, the same KYC, the same rails. We're building that layer once, and opening it to every sector.

Personal credit

Short-tenure personal loans from ₹5,000 to ₹1,00,000, decisioned on salary flow and bureau behaviour instead of a single cutoff.

Day one

MSME & business capital

GST returns, UPI settlements and bank cash-flow read as proof of repayment capacity — working capital for the shop as much as the firm.

Day one

Payments & UPI

Collections, auto-mandates and payouts on one ledger, so repayment is as frictionless as the disbursal was.

Day one

Insurance & protection

Credit life, health top-ups and device cover attached at the point of borrowing, priced for ticket sizes the market usually ignores.

Phase 2

Savings & wealth

Recurring deposits, micro-SIPs and goal pots that start at ₹100 — built for first-time savers, not portfolio managers.

Phase 2

Gold & secured credit

Loans against gold, property and vehicles, with doorstep valuation in the towns where secured lending still means a day's travel.

Phase 3

Agri & rural finance

Harvest-cycle repayment, FPO-linked credit and input financing that understands a season, not a 30-day calendar.

Phase 3

Embedded finance API

Any platform — commerce, mobility, EV, payroll — can offer credit at checkout through one set of APIs and our risk engine.

Phase 3

The engine · Underwriting is the product

Anyone can build an app. The hard part is saying yes to the right borrower in seconds.

MitraaPay is being built by people who have run live lending books — credit policy, scorecards, collections and regulatory model governance. The platform is the risk engine; the app is just where it surfaces.

01Soft-pull bureau intelligence

CIBIL and CRIF enquiries run as soft pulls, so checking eligibility never costs the applicant a point on their score. Tradelines, DPD history and enquiry velocity feed the policy layer directly.

02Alternative-data scoring

For thin-file and new-to-credit applicants, UPI activity, utility and rent behaviour, employer stability and device signals build a first score — so no bureau file is a starting point, not a rejection.

03Account Aggregator bank analysis

Consent-based statement pull, salary-credit detection, bounce and obligation mapping, and a computed FOIR — all inside the application journey, with no PDF uploads or passwords.

04Real-time business rule engine

Policy rules and an ML scorecard run in the same decision call: eligibility, limit, pricing and tenure returned in seconds, with every rule hit logged for audit.

05Pincode-level risk & collections

Geography is a risk variable in India, and so is recovery capacity. Portfolio performance is modelled down to the pincode and fed back into policy every cycle.

06Model governance by design

Documented model development, validation, drift monitoring and periodic revalidation aligned to RBI's model risk expectations — built in from the first scorecard, not retrofitted at inspection.

Why now · India's credit gap is a design problem

Hundreds of millions of Indians earn reliably and still can't borrow formally.

Not because they can't repay, but because the industry built its products around a payslip and a metro pincode. That is a design choice — and design choices can be rebuilt.

19,000+Pincodes we intend to serve — the whole country, not the top 50 cities
63M+MSMEs in India, the majority still funded by informal credit
<10 minTarget time from application to credit decision, end to end
100%Digital journey — eKYC, eSign, eNACH, no branch visit

Figures describe the market we are building for and our own design targets, not current MitraaPay performance. Replace with audited numbers at launch.
